What forms might life might take on other worlds? Even gas giants might support life in their upper atmospheres, though it might not seem likely at first. On Earth, in nearly every area once thought incapable of supporting life, we've found creatures who have made their homes there. Some creatures have even been discovered that can survive the vacuum of space temporarily, such as lichens and tardigrades. Might this mixed-media painting/sculpture show a creature that's evolved the ability to blend in to alien clouds? Perhaps it's massive, like a blimp. Could it support human life in oxygen and nitrogen-filled hollows within its own body?
