A shiny silver AT-AT pinata from Star Wars features details such as hatches and sunken areas delineated with black tissue paper. Hip joints and the side guns are made from cardboard and are covered in aluminum foil.

I created this Cardboard, paper, and tissue-paper pinata for a space-pirate themed party. I suppose I should have added a skull & crossbones....
