A form that looks like a metal spire or tower. Something that looks like a fish’s tail curls around its base. A long tentacle curls up from the base and halfway around the tower, without touching it, and connects to the base in a different spot. A spherical spiderweb-like shape seems to grow from one side of the base.

Phyllangiform is the second welded piece I've done working from a sketch. The first was Nomlandiform. Previously I'd let a sculpture develop as I welded, or work towards an idea I'd had in my head.
