"Ecumenopolis" is a large, long-term papercraft installation representing a small area of a massive world-spanning city. Some of its skyscrapers are a mile high or more—a milestone we're coming close to breaking in the real world.

Two views. Similar angles as in the September 3rd picture, but only some of the basic structures are present, with very little fine detail present. Some of the upper structures of medium-level detail are not yet in place.

Showing the beginning of construction. The base, from which both towers will eventually rise, is complete, but with no detail. The lowest part of the tower seen at right in pictures above is under construction. The left tower has not yet been built at all.
